If you are looking for an ashram in Rajasthan, you might consider Tapovan Ashram, a nonprofit ashram / basic health resort which emphasizes meditation, yoga, and holistic health with resident ayurvedic practitioners. It is in a quiet setting in the hills, but close-in to Udaipur. There are even pyramid structures to meditate in. Accommodations are basic but pleasant. The ashram has orchards, a vegetable garden, and some projects to assist the local Bhil tribal peoples, including an off-site school.
